4) The Convention MAY appoint an Honorary President in an advisory
capacity with voice and vote.
(5) In the event of an officer being elected or appointed to the ONTARlO
PROVINCIAL COMMAND he
MAY finish out his current tel111of office in
his Unit. If elected or appointed as President of the Ontario Command, he
must relinquish his Unit office immediately.
(6) If any member of the Executive vacates his office as such by death,
resignation, or otherwise, such vacancy
SHALL be filled at the next
Command meeting to serve for the remaining term of office. All
resignations from office
SHALL be in writing.
(7) FiH!ng of board vacancies
SHALL be done by moving the next senior
member of the board into that position, and continuing this action with the
resulting junior position to be filled by an election at the next Command
meeting, unless in the opinion of the board the time is too short until the next
election.
6. DUTIES OF OFFICERS

(1) PRESIDENT:
The President
SHALL preside at all Command and Executive meetings as
well as all Conventions, and
SHALL be ex-officio member of all standing
committees.
(2) VICE PRESIDENTS:
In the absence or disability of the President, the rights and powers invested
in the President
SHALL, for the time being, be invested in the senior Vice
President.
(3) SECRETARY:
(a) The Secretary
SHALL keep a record of the proceedings of all
meetings of the Command and of the Executive in special books to be
kept for that purpose. He
SHALL be required at every meeting to
have with him the proper minute book and all other necessary books
and correspondence relative to the business likely to be transacted at
