(8) LADIES' AUXILIARY - means an auxiliary duly established under the
provisions hereof.
(9) SEAL - The seal SHALL be the one now in use, and affixed hereto, and
SHALL be affixed to all contracts entered into by the Command.
(10) MEMBERSHIP - Membership SHALL be by membership in accordance
with Section 16 of Dominion Constitution, Rules & By-Laws.
(11) FISCAL YEAR - The fiscal year of the Ontario Provincial Command
SHALL be from the first day in January to the 31st day of December in each
and every year, and a statement of the finances of the Provincial Command
duly audited by a Certified Accountant and SHALL be forwarded to each
Unit in the jurisdiction of the Command annually.
(12) WORDS AND GENDER - Words importing the singular include the plural
and vice versa. Words importing a male person include a female person.
3. POWERS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE COMMAND

(1) The Provincial Command SHALL be the legislative and contracting body of
the Army, Navy and Air Force Veterans in Canada in respect to such matters
as affect the Provincial interests, and MAY make, repeal, amend, re-enact,
and enforce such by-laws, rules and regulations as MAYbe necessary or
expedient to conduct the business of the Ontario Provincial Command;
subject at all times to the approval of the Dominion Command.
(2) Subject to appeal to the Dominion Association in Convention, the Ontario
Provincial President, with the sanction of the Dominion President, obtained
in writing or by wire, MAY suspend the charter of any Unit for cause;
subject to ratification forthwith by a two-thirds vote of the Dominion
Officers obtained either in writing or by wire.
(3) All communications and other matters which a Unit desires to have
considered by the Dominion Association SHALL first be refened to the
Provincial Command, and through it, to the Dominion Association.
(4) The powers of the Ontario Provincial Command SHALL be exercised by
the Provincial Command Meeting or Convention, and in recess, by the
Provincial Executive Board.
