(c) The position of President SHALL be for a two (2) year term with no
limitation.
(4) Eligibility for Office:
(a) The President and First Vice President: Members in good standing in
the Unit for not less than two calendar years immediately prior to
nomination, and who have previously served on the Unit Executive
for not less than two full years.
(b) Other Vice Presidents and Executives Members: Voting Members in
good standing for at least one calendar year immediately prior to
nomination.
(c) No member will be eligible for nomination to any elective office or
duty in a Unit who:
(i) is, or has been within 30 days prior to the date of nomination, a
paid employee of the Unit, or
(ii) holds any Executive office in, or is employed by, any other Unit
or Chartered Veterans Organizations, and
(iii)
SHALL immediately cease to hold office if, during the term of
office, such member accepts nomination for office or
employment in any other Unit or Chartered Veterans
Organization.
(iv) The official definition of a paid employee of the Army, Navy
and Air Force Veterans in Canada is anybody who is paid on a
regular basis with Unit funds.
(d) The Executive
MAY appoint any members in good standing to
represent it on any Community Committee, Special Duty, or as a
Fraternal Delegate.
(e) Notwithstanding the above, Units
MAY appoint or elect an
outstanding citizen to be Honorary President.
